Rose was built from the things that have shaped who I am - running, design, apparel, music, streetwear, community, and a lifetime spent finding identity through the things I care about.

My name is Nic Samayoa. I’m a father, husband, runner, creative director, hardcore kid, and someone who has always needed multiple creative outlets. I’ve spent the last twelve years working in apparel and building brands, and the majority of the last seven years running.

Rose became the place where all of those different parts of my life could finally exist together. Running, design, apparel, art direction, streetwear, music, the communities and subcultures that raised me, and the daily Rituals of Self Elevation that continue to shape who I am.

At its core, Rose is still a very small, independent family business. It’s me and my wife working out of our garage, building this thing ourselves with the same DIY mentality that has influenced so much of my life. We design, develop, test, pack, and obsess over the details while raising our family and figuring things out as we go.

I care deeply about everything we make because none of this feels separate from who I am. I don’t believe running has to exist in its own world. What we wear when we run can carry the same identity, intention, and attitude as the music we listen to, the art we surround ourselves with, and the communities we belong to.

Rose exists somewhere in the middle of all of that. It’s a running brand, but it’s also an extension of the life I’ve built around running and everything running has given back to me.
